Diablo Lake Engagement | North Cascades, Washington
Sometimes the stars align and this Diablo Lake Engagement just so happens to be one of those times. We had been wanting to explore the Cascade Highway in northern Washington for a few years and we finally found the time to do it this summer. When we were trying to schedule a date for Wes and Winnie’s engagement we let them know we would be in Washington for a few weeks, but we could schedule something when we got back. They said, “Wait, we’re gonna be in Washington too.” So we said, “Have you heard of Diablo Lake?” and that was that. They were sold on the location and made plans to meet us just outside Newhalem, WA. We had so much fun exploring the rivers and trails of the Cascade Mountains. Diablo Lake did not disappoint! It’s stunning and we recommend to anyone and everyone you experience it for yourself. The drive is gorgeous and the area around the lake has so much to see. We only wish we had a few more days to stay and soak in the summer air that filled the mountains and filled our spirits.
